"There is a broad, idealistically beautiful vision embodied in this
'Gospel': a vision of a world truly at peace, people truly in harmony with
nature"
"The Gospel According to
Acharya S makes a clear distinction between true spirituality and what is usually called
religion. The jealous, egotistical, ever-praise-hungry Judeo-Christian God is shown to be an
extension of human (male) ego, fostering arrogance in his believers who claim that their own
religion is the only true one, all others being false and evil. Acharya castigates patriarchal
belief systems as the ultimate source of sexism, citing centuries of abuse of women on religious
grounds.
"She also demonstrates the highly
derivative nature of religious concepts generally assumed to be unique; amusingly debunks the game
of bible-based prophecy; discusses the primordial cannibalism underlying communion rites; and
demonstrates the cultic nature of so-called mainstream religions. Her book plainly makes the point
that religious sects demanding 'tolerance' and 'respect' from the rest of the world are frequently
unworthy of either.
"This book endorses the creative
variety of spiritual practices around the world, stating that 'Those who narrow down their
consciousness to reject the wisdom and perception of all other cultures in favor of their own
egotistical and ethnocentric "religious" beliefs are often mean-spirited and poorly educated yet
very conceited.' Actually, 'Humankind needs to drop all such ego identifications as nationalism,
racism and religionism, when they become divisive.'
"The Gospel is a vision that gives hope for freedom from the emotional
shackles of religions, and the dawning of a more rational
future."
"There is a broad, idealistically
beautiful vision embodied in this 'Gospel': a vision of a world truly at peace, people truly in
harmony with nature, and an end to the religious strife and violence that have stained the last two
thousand years with horrifying amounts of innocent blood. It is a vision that gives hope for
freedom from the emotional shackles of religions, and the dawning of a more rational
future."

"The most truthful piece of spiritual writing I've
ever read!"
"I just read your essay titled, 'What is God?' and I'd like to tell you that I
found it the most truthful piece of spiritual writing I have ever read. So concise, a real
stimulation unhindered by myth, parable and occult symbolism."

"THE MOST liberating book I've
read...ever!"
"I received your book yesterday, and fell asleep in it last night...in a good
way 'cause I couldn't put it down! Devoured most of it!
"THE MOST liberating book I've read...ever! My eyes are open wide now!
"Thank You for your Gospel, aka: GOOD NEWS, no...GREAT NEWS!
"You are very intelligent, bold yet subtle, and I love your sense of humor!
"Also, it's obvious—your love for true humanity, and passion, and truth, and
well, pretty much all things that pertain to taking one's mind permanently out of the box that we
ourselves, with society's help, have huddled in and under for far too long!
"Ok.. back to gobble up the rest! :) good day to you."

"Acharya's vocabulary and choice of words
is exquisite..."
"This is an incredibly excellent book! I just finished The Gospel According
to Acharya, and it was just 'what the doctor ordered' - just what I needed to add to my
ongoing quest for open-minded enlightenment. It not only reinforced my faith in the true hope for
freedom of all mankind from the self-shackles of religious dogma, but proved an added foundation
block in my own spirituality and quest for a better understanding of what a higher power truly is
in my life, as well as a more sensible, factual concept of 'God,' both historically and
realistically. The book's grounded logic and well-sourced research did not shake my faith in the
mysteries of life; it only served to enhance and personally reinforce it in an entirely new
light...."

"One of the best books I have ever
read!"
"I finished reading your book The Gospel According to Acharya
S and want to tell you that your book is one of the best books I have read. I love what
you said that the American Constitution may well be the 'holiest of holies' scriptures. I
definitely agree with that. From now on, my 'holy scripture' is the American Constitution that
forbids discrimination on the basis of sex and assures justice, liberty, and freedom of speech
without censorship. Congratulations for your wonderful book."

"This is one of the best books I've ever read. Everyone should read it and become enlightened."

"This is one of the best books I have ever read also."

"I put The Gospel of Acharya S on the
same great level or better than books such as The God
Delusion, God is not Great and
Letter to a Christian Nation..."
"I am writing this review as a bedraggled refugee from the "Holy" Roman Catholic
Church, now Atheist. Like Acharya S, I have researched the history of the origins of
Judeo/Christianity. I am well read in the Bible and know it is all fiction, based on many mythical
beliefs...
"I am pleased Acharya S has devoted a good number of chapters to the Holy Roman
Catholic Church and its history of atrocities, torture and killings in the name of its "god." So
many people know about Islam and its "Holy Jihads" and desire to convert the whole wold to Islam OR
ELSE. Not many people know enough about the history of the Roman Catholic Church and its
persecution of "Pagans," non-believers and those of its faithful who dare to question the teachings
of Holy Mother Church. Acharya S mentions the sorry state the USA is in due to the actions of
FundaMENTAList Bible-thumping Christians and how it is just about impossible for an Atheist to be
elected to the White House....

"A must-have for every student of
religion!"
"I was raised on the Gospel according to the "Holy Bible," and through a lengthy
painful process over the past decade and a half I've extricated myself from that belief system.
"The Gospel According to Acharya S puts into print in a clear,
concise, no holds barred manner, many and more of the conclusions I've come to hold dear in my
quest to become a free, freethinking individual. Acharya quickly brings to light much of the
darkness contained in many of the world's 'holy' texts and gives thinking individuals numerous
reasons to disdain the conceptualizations of 'God' which are anti-man, anti-woman, and frankly,
anti-human.
"A great introduction to a great scholar's work, an appetizer that leaves me
hungry for more, The Gospel According to Acharya S should be on the reading list of
every student of religion."
