About Acharya S

Acharya aka D.M. Murdock was educated at some of the finest schools, receiving a degree in Classics, Greek Civilization, from Franklin & Marshall College. She is also a Member of American School of Classical Studies at Athens, Greece. Acharya S has served as a trench master on archaeological excavations in Corinth, Greece, and Connecticut, USA, as well as a teacher's assistant on the island of Crete. Acharya S has traveled extensively around Europe,and she speaks, reads and/or writes English, Greek, French, Spanish, Italian, German, Portuguese and a smattering of other languages to varying degrees.  She has read Euripides, Plato and Homer in ancient Greek, and Cicero in Latin, as well as Chaucer's The Canterbury Tales in Middle English.  She has also been compelled to cross-reference the Bible in the original Hebrew and ancient Greek.

Acharya S is the author of the controversial books The Christ Conspiracy: The Greatest Story Ever Sold (1999), hailed by Feral House publisher Adam Parfrey as "the most important book of our time." The Christ Conspiracy has been translated into Spanish and Korean, with Italian and Bulgarian editions in the works. Acharya's magnum opus Suns of God: Krishna, Buddha and Christ (2004) was called "a magnificent work" by famed mythologist Barbara Walker. Her first title by Stellar House Publishing was Who Was Jesus? Fingerprints of The Christ (2007), published under her real name D.M. Murdock and including a foreword by Dr. Robert M. Price, a leading "Jesus mythicist" and author of several books on the same subject. Acharya has also created an ebook called The Companion Guide to ZEITGEIST, Part 1, based on the hit viral movie, which, as of the end of 2007, had received over 6 million views worldwide. Acharya served as a consultant on the first part of that film, and this ebook is endorsed by the movie's creator Peter Joseph.

Acharya S has been online since 1995, and in 1998 she established her infamous website TruthBeKnown.com. TBK has received millions of hits because of its cutting-edge articles on comparative religion and mythology, among other things. Acharya S has also had articles published in a variety of magazines and has appeared on many radio programs as well, including FOX's Alan Colmes Radio Show. She has also appeared in public, in November 2007 attending as a panel speaker the premiere of Artivists Film Festival's "Best Feature" winner the movie "ZEITGEIST." Also in November 2007, Acharya was interviewed by Boston University geologist Dr. Robert Schoch for a documentary for Russian television. Acharya is also scheduled to be the keynote speaker at Brian William Hall's Conspiracy Con in May 2008.  Acharya also runs two discussion groups as well as the TBK Nation forum. She has also blogged many articles at TBK News and can be found at MySpace as well. There are also several online videos of Acharya's work, including an interview by Consciousness Media Network.
